TAKEOUT TASTING – The Gumbo Pot

A 3rd and Fairfax staple for as long as we can remember @farmersmarketLAhas www.thegumbopotsla.com with #Gumboand #Jumbalaya working perfectly for our National Gumbo Day TAKEOUT TASTING.

We paired the Ladoucette Les Deux Tours Touraine (Sauvignon Blanc) from the Loire Valley, which works as a lovely Sancerre at half the price. The terroir for this Vineyard has been in this renowned winemaking family since the 1700s and continues to deliver exceptional wines at affordable prices. The wine has a very fine nose with a beautiful expression of sauvignon blanc, lemon notes, flesh of white fruits, and some fine aniseed nuances. Alongside the spicy foods, it’s a nice, supple and fruity attack, with good vivacity and a fruit-forward aromatic finish.
