Tonight’s TAKE OUT TASTING is a pairing of #stephaneaviron MORGON Cote du Py with @KismetRotisserie chicken with creamy hummus, pickles and their classic wedge… along with a side of the Schmaltzy Potatoes.
The Morgon Côte du Py is structured and earthy and is drinkable now or could age wonderfully for as much as 10 years. The Gamay grapes are sourced from an inactive volcano and aged for 12 months in neutral Burgundy barrels and retain their bright fruit.
Beyond the technical jargon, this wine is awesome and so was dinner.

Our #wineoftheday is the Domaine Anita Chenas Cuvee P’tit Co “Cuvée P’tit Co” comes from a 45-year-old parcel of Gamay situated at 265 meters altitude in soils of pebbly quartz. With its cool northeasterly exposition and lighter soils, this vineyard produces a charming, pretty wine of delicately articulated spice and gentle tannins. Anita employs whole-cluster semi-carbonic fermentation in cement for this cuvée, followed by six months of elevage, also in cement vats. The low tannins and bright fruit make this wine the perfect pairing for red beans and rice. #curatedwines #lovethewineyourewith #winetasting
Our #wineoftheday is the Bois de Boursan Cuvée Le Petit Oursan Vin de France, Rhone Valley, France 45% Grenache, 40% Merlot, and 15% Syrah While not overly complex, this wine was pretty tasty. Our #wineoftheday is the @lesmesclances Faustine Rosé Chateau Les Mesclances Faustine - serious and age-worthy rosé named after proprietor Arnaud’s daughter. 90% Grenache and 10% Mourvèdre. Spontaneous fermentation. Malolactic fermentation occurs for a portion of the final blend. Offers plenty of fresh acidity and excellent drive, along with power, structure, and vinosity, with a punchy underlying minerality. #curatedwines #lovethewineyourewith #winetasting #roseallday
Our #wineoftheday is the Avissi Prosecco The grapes for Avissi are selected from small parcels of Glera vines grown throughout the Prosecco DOC. Vineyard blocks are faithfully tended by growers whose families have farmed here for generations. Avissi is crafted in small batches using concrete fermentation tanks, elevating the quality of the wine.
